A graduate of the Design Academy of Munich, Alice Knackfuss started her career as a custom tailor, and worked her way up to the design department of Kris Van Assche and Ute Ploier.
A finalist of the international festival of fashion and photography in Hyeres in 2009, she received the Diesel award and move to Belgium. After a stint in menswear, she decided to launch her own brand called A.KNACKFUSS inspired by menswear with the intention of providing a new image to “feminine” women who are forward-thinking and unusual. Her clothes are wearable, practical and comfortable for the modern life.
It was in Saint-Germain des Près that Alice Knackfuss chose to present her new autumn-winter collection.
The runway show on the 3th of March showed the emergence of new strong trends based on highlighting particular elements such as colourful socks with an human touch. This was also the case for shoes with a bobble in the front.
She used neoprene fabric and superimposition’s textile to give a casual attitude. The feather in the cap was the interesting hats complete with a transparent polka-dot veil. Last but not least the open sleeve on all the coats was sophisticated and really modern.
