The glam rock icon David Bowie exhibits in Philharmonie de Paris

From March 3rd to May 31st 2015, Philharmonie de Paris is hosting the David Bowie’s exhibition. After the success of the event in Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Parisian new place dedicated to music presents the entire career of the glam rock singer for the first time in the capital.

Entering in the universe of the icon that has revolutionised the music history able to the visitors and fans to discover or to re-discover his life and his music that, we are sure, everyone has hummed once at least.

During this entire exhibition, you can see the different aspects and evolution of David Bowie as a whole performer and an artist. He has played a big role in the music history by propelling the “glam rock”, a style of rock developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970’s in the front of the scene. His androgynous style, his makeup and hairstyle are made him as “a musical innovator and a cultural icon”. Except being a music revolutionary, David Bowie has also become a fashion icon. The amazing and colourful scene costumes are on display at this exhibition. Have a look on the famous beautiful coat with the English flag made by Alexander McQueen or the striped bodysuit designed by Kansai Yamamoto!

For the final, visitors immerse into the vast room where digital screen are displaying videos of his concerts as if you are in direct!

The Philhamornie of Paris proposes also diverse events around David Bowie : pieces of theater, dance performances, etc.
